help! improving my shots on an overcast day

Post  rbrocky on Wed Mar 16, 2011 11:29 pm

Firstly, i know very little about photography
when its sunny i find i can get decent pics relatively easy
but like today an overcast and dull day
my shots came out a bit like this, much i can do to improve them?

im using a very basic DSLR (sony alpha 290 with standard 18mm-55mm lense, also have a 55mm-200mm lens)

you may have to talk in basic terms as im just getting used to it all Razz

    ta ta lovelies

they seem ok - maybe post production is the key?
    E.g. contrast, exposure, etc etc.
Although you can do this on the menu on cam. I'll show you - manual RGB etc etc.

And, when did you get a 200mm lens? The possibilities of telephotographic pictures are amazing. DAMN YOU!
I want a 300mm manual lens off a Minolta than fits Sony alphas
