Eunos Roadster mk1 (Mazda MX5)

So, I got a second car today with my dad - for a project and something to do. And just to have another car to drive about here and there.

Was £950 with 90k miles.

Has uprated cams, and LSD.

Jap imported in 1998. Car originally from 1991.

Here's some photos. Plans to start immediately.







Immediate plans:

Stickers
Strip out excess weight
Strut brace
Yellow tint film for headlights
Vinyl numberplate

They're all plans within like the next few days.

Other plans will be bigger.



Probably not to everyones liking, but the chassis on this seems excellent.

Hardly any progress as of yet, but a few cosmetic bits.

And of course the vinyl numberplate there, which imo looks much better than the big bulky, ****ty plastic one with a dirty surrond.

Put some stickers on this helmet that I had lying about cos I was bored, I will be using it for track days/ drift days. Mainly cos I'll be ****ting myself that I'll roll even once I have the roll bar etc.

Got this helmet dirt cheap brand new too,




Spose it'll be ok for practices etc, and events where it's necessary to wear a helmet

Anyway, without further ado, here are some small updates. Sadly, my sister sold her TT this week, and is using the MX5 for getting to work (shes a vet working 2-12) so I won't be able to have a proper crack at fitting the springs til Saturday!!

Here we go:

First, a cup holder. I want at least a bit of comfort even if I am gonna be going all out on buckets and a fair bit of weight reduction



Next, the springs. This was 'the box in the hall'. Although the two little ones say FRONT, and one big one says REAR and the other says FRONT - I guess it's a misprint because obviously the sizes of them are identical. Ah well
